A Fun-Filled Night of False Labor…

I was SO sure that I was going to really go into labor last night. I was having very intense contractions from 2 to 5 to 8 minutes apart from about 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. they were radiating into my back and very very uncomfortable, but not quite to the point where I couldnt walk or talk through them. I tried to sleep and couldnt, so got up at about 1 a.m. and took a shower. That must have calmed them because after that I was able to sleep and only had a couple more throughout the night. I really cant believe that its morning now and Im not in labor! So disappointing.

Yes, I want to be in agonizing labor today! haha Bring it on!

This is so different from how things happened with Emma. I mean, I remember being miserable and having contractions on and off before she came, but nothing this intense. And then it was totally obvious when I was actually in labor because my water broke and suddenly I was in the midst of extremely intense contractions that scared the daylights outta me. I dont remember having anything that was so intense I would call it false labor.

SIGH!

So, its Sunday. Not sure if Ill make it to church since theres a potluck I didnt know about today, Im exhausted from being up late and then didnt sleep well after because I was expecting real labor, and I dont know if I can handle the No baby yet? comments and teasing today. So I think Ill read my devotional and find a verse to focus on today. How about,

Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 9:9-11

I love that one. 🙂

Now for fun, heres a picture of Emma and a friends baby boy. She loooves this little guy, and gets so excited when she sees him. In this photo, she had covered him with her beloved blankie (she doesnt go anywhere without it, especially bed) something she doesnt usually share with anyone! It was so sweet. Is this a promising sign for future baby brother? 🙂
