Been Sewin’ for Baby (More Crazy Nesting)

Ive been crazy sewing the last couple of weeks! I seem to get my second wind at night when the house is silent (oh, how nice!) and there isnt a little girl demanding food, water, to watch TV, to wash her hands or brush her teeth (guess I should be happy about those), or whatever her little brain can think up to distract me from whatever I might be trying to do. Here are some of my latest creations:

A burp cloth
Flannel sewn onto a prefold 6-ply diaper with ribbon trim. Dont you looove my crooked stitching? I really need to be more patient.

A Dino Blanket
Made with strips of my lovely dinosaur material sewn together with some flannel strips thrown in for fun. Still a work in progress, I plan to have three layers with the backing being minky dot fabric.

A reminder of why its impossible to sew with a 2-year-old helping.

Changing Pad & Diaper/Wipes Case
Followed this great tutorial and I love what I came out with! Emma is using this for her dolly right now.

Isnt the fabric darling? I like the way the batik fat quarter I picked up at Joanns on sale looks with this project, too!

Aaand I couldnt leave out Emma so here are a couple things I made for her

A flannel pillowcase for her toddler pillow

And our first t-shirt dress! I tentatively followed this tutorial for the basics. I need to get some long-sleeved tops for her somewhere.

So what kind of craftiness have you been up to lately?
