{Blast From the Past} Puppy/Kitty Surprise

Hasbro’s Pet Surprise line was very popular when it first released – they created a Puppy Surprise, Kitty Surprise, Pony Surprise, Bunny Surprise, and Bear Surprise. Each of the animals had a pocket in their stomach and came with a surprise number of corresponding babies. I believe three was the most common number.

I think these kittens are pretty darn life-like (other than the ones with open eyes)! If you’ve ever seen newborn and baby kittens you know they have those skinny little tails that stick straight up when they’re walking.

OMG I remember this toy! I had the kitties!!! Wow! Flashback!

I wanted the Puppy Surprise SO badly. My grandma wouldn’t get it for me because she said once you opened it up, the surprise was over and it was just another stuffed animal. I wasn’t ready to hear that harsh dose of reality. :)

  Aw, how sad! I know, there was something about this toy that made it irresistible… it just wasn’t like other stuffed animals. :-) But now that I’m a mom I find myself thinking, “Not another stuffed animal, please!” – hahaha
  
  That said, grandmas are supposed to get you too many toys, right? :)

Too many toys? Our house looks like Toys R Us exploded in it!
