Wanna see one of Isaac’s new favorite pop-up books? Animals Everywhere: A Pop-Up Adventure is a vibrantly-illustrated book chock full of different types of wild animals from around the globe! It categorizes animals by habitat – in the jungle, in the cold arctic, under the sea, and out on safari. There are a menagerie of animals, many common and many I had never heard of before (i.e. Rock Agana, Titan Beetle, Crab-Eating Macaque). And in the back of the book, you’ll find more detailed information on the species of animals named throughout.
The best part, though? The massive, detailed pop-ups!
This shark seems to leap out at you as you open the page – it is awesome!
Animals Everywhere: A Pop-Up Adventure is a book I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend… for obvious reasons. :) My 3-year-old is fascinated with the pop-ups, enjoys memorizing the names of the animals, and I appreciate that he can learn a bit about each animal as we read. I would recommend it for all ages really, but 3-5 seems like a good focus age range to me. It’s a good introduction to different species of animals without getting into too much detail, but it does give you a jumping-off point if you want to delve deeper. :)
You can find Animals Everywhere at Amazon.com for $10.76 at the time of this posting.
