From Way-Cool (but Super Warm) Jacket to Soft Toy! {Convertible Designs T-Jack Review + 40% Off Coupon Code!}

To this? Wow!

This is a T-Jack (Toy-Jacket) made by Convertible Designs. I dont know a kid alive who wouldnt want a jacket that turns into a soft toy they can play with! Seriously, this is innovation at its finest. 🙂 And a gift that is sure to bring a smile to a childs face. Personally I thought it was cool enough that there was a 3-D animal on the back of the jacket. Then when I realized that it turned into a toy I was hooked on the idea!

How It Works

So how does a jacket turn into a toy, and vice-versa? Its easier than you might think! The magic is inside the jacket, nicely hidden inside the padded lining. Watch this short video to see it happen before your eyes:

A Moms Thoughts

Thanks to Natasha of Convertible Designs, Emma received the T-Jack Turtle for review. Upon first opening the package, I was impressed by how thick and warm the jacket is! Its definitely not just for decoration, this coat will be keeping my little girl warm during these cold winter days. It features a quilted polyfil lining, nylon/polyester material, and is water-resistant. It also has a detachable hood and, when in toy mode, the sea turtles legs/fins snap together to form straps so that your child can wear it as a backpack! On the bottom of the turtle, youll find a zipper and a small space in which you could put money, snacks (flat snacks like fruit leather or it would be uncomfortable), and small flat things like that.

Converting the T-Jack from toy to jacket is a lot quicker than going from jacket to toy, mainly because you have to stuff the jacket inside as you zip. Once youve done it a few times, though, it gets easier and faster. Its really a terrific design! I love all the detailing the marble eyes on the turtle make it look so realistic! There are many different textures and the snaps/zippers are all well-reinforced. It really is made very well.

The T-Jack is available as a turtle, frog, beetle, and ladybug, and comes in sizes 2-3 years, 3-4 years, or 4-5 years. Emma is 2 1/2 and so I went with the 2-3 year jacket (small). We found it to be a bit big, which is good because shell be able to wear it this winter and probably next winter, too.

Final Thoughts: Not only is the idea a great one, we found the jacket itself to exceed our expectations! We all love it, especially Emma, and it gets lots of compliments and Where did you get that? questions. 🙂
