Have you seen the snazzy colorfully shaded and marvelously bordered quote boxes in various people’s blogs? I envied lovely blockquotes and wished I knew how to customize mine, but was vastly intimidated by the dreaded html.

Then I found Blogger Buster. This blog explained how to customize your blockquotes so simply that even I was able to customize my quotes for myself! I’m excited because it really does add a certain something to your post – and being a book reviewer, I use quotes quite often.

Take a look at this quote from Anne of Green Gables:

“One June evening, when the orchards were pink blossomed again, when the frogs were singing silverly sweet in the marshes about the head of the Lake of Shining Waters, and the air was full of the savor of clover fields and balsamic fir woods, Anne was sitting by her gable window. She had been studying her lessons, but it had grown too dark to see the book, so she had fallen into wide-eyed reverie, looking out past the boughs of the Snow Queen, once more bestarred with its tufts of blossom.”

I’m so happy! lol

Off to Blogger Buster see what else I can improve on my blog…

What do you think of the background color in my quote box? Hopefully nobody is getting dizzy from all the colors in my design…
