I had a sore throat and felt a cold coming on yesterday, so, since I was laid up on the couch anyway, I decided it was the perfect time to pull out my crochet needles and yarn. I like working on small projects, so I went with crocheted flowers, and I also tried my hand at a ribbon flower. I’m not too impressed with the results so far, but with a little practice I know I’ll get better at them. I also am making crocheted hearts like this one:
The above photo is from Skip to My Lou – I also used her wonderful crochet heart pattern to make mine. :-) There are so many things you can do with these hearts! Stitch them to a onesie or t-shirt, make a garland, stitch them to a hat – the possibilities are endless and they are super easy to make!
I took photos of my crocheted rose and ribbon flower for ya!
Crocheted Ruffled Rose pattern from a book my mom let me borrow (thanks, mom!)
Ribbon Rose made thanks to an excellent tutorial from Scrap-a-Little.com.
