Today I went a little crazy and started sewing again.  :)  I forgot just how GOOD it felt to create!

I made these two skirts from this amaaaazing skirt tutorial @ Made

Skirt #1

Skirt #2

I love this Michael Miller fabric – I’ve been hoarding it for awhile and really am happy with the result!  I plan on making Emma spring skirts out of all the material I have and will be working on matching appliqued t-shirts as well.  :)

Are you up to anything crafty?

  • Awww they are super cute. I wish I knew how to sew. I’m on a baking and cooking craze lately!!!

    • Thanks, Nichol! You should do what I did and just get a sewing machine and give it a try! This was the easiest skirt ever… though I do admit I had to rip out a few seams and re-sew a couple times. That’s just because I was going to fast and not reading the directions, though. lol

I really need to bake something yummy this week!

  • I would love to be able to make my daughter something like that but I have emailed her nannie as she makes lovely things like this and tends to have similar patterned fabrics in her stock pile. Sewing is a real talent I don’t have and you certainly do.

  • Really adorable! It put me in a sewing mood. Unfortunately my sewing machine is broken at the moment. Not sure if I am going to try to get it repaired or get a new one. Maybe I will a make no sew blanket. Thanks for the inspiration

  • I have no sewing skills whatsoever. Tried it in high school and failed miserably. You did a wonderful job on the skirts. Very cute.

    • Thank you, Terra! I tried sewing myself a couple things when I was a teen but felt the same as you – hated both the sewing AND what I ended up with. I find it’s much more fun sewing for your kids. ;-)
