With time running out for sending gifts in time for Christmas, eGift is the answer to many a procrastinator’s holiday shopping woes.  I should know, I’m one of those people who is saying, “It’s ALREADY December ____????”  Of course I have my excuses, but we all do.  ;-)

I’m loving the simplicity of sending gift cards via eGift Social on Facebook!  And before you start thinking that it might be too impersonal, this is not just a money gift card type of service (though I for one ACCEPT gift cards happily, wink wink!).  You can actually choose, for example, to send a loved one something specific from places such as Sephora or Cold Stone Creamery!

You could definitely get creative in sending a special gift to a loved one.  Think of what you could find to give from K-Mart – maybe host a virtual baby shower for a friend or family member who is far away and have “guests” flood the mommy-to-be’s inbox with gift cards!  What a great way to make someone feel special – and believe me, most mommies would rather have gift cards and go on a shopping spree than get a bunch of random baby things they may or may not need/want/use.  And yes, I just checked and the K-Mart Facebook eGift Page has special baby-themed gift cards to send via email or Facebook!

I personally was able to try this service out on the receiving end – I was sent the Philosophy Hope in a Jar eGift from Sephora, something I was able to redeem in-store or online.  I chose online since it was easiest for me.  SO cool, and easy for both the gift giver and recipient!  :)

Other places you can currently send eGifts from:

And the list is growing!  Visit these companies’ Facebook pages and click on the “eGift” tab to get started!  Also, be sure to check out and “like” the eGift Social Facebook page so you won’t miss out on any new merchants added to the list, and so that you can find out more about giving eGifts this holiday season!

So what do you think?
Do you like the idea of sending Gift Cards through email or Facebook?

Disclosure:  I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of First Data and received an eGift gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
