Since it’s Autumn and Halloween is coming, I thought I would share some no-carve pumpkin-decorating ideas I’ve come across. The thing I really love about these is that most of them are kid-friendly! Check these out:
Pumpkin decoupage! Right up my alley. :-) Especially the leaves – I absolutely love finding and saving different types of leaves. (Better Homes and Garden)

Simple ribbon encircling these small pumpkins gives the place a charming and festive look!

This is genius – different colored pastas! Cute cute.

Decorate your pumpkins with candy! Martha Stewart says to stick the candies on with ball pins, but as the mom of a toddler that kind of scares me. lol You could also glue the candies.

Check out this Edgar Allen Poe decoupaged pumpkin featured on the Mrs. B Blog!
(From last year but oh so awesome)

Guess how the dots were put on the dotted pumpkin on the right? With a black sharpie! So smart. :-) And the other two pumpkins with the intricate designs? Rub-on transfers found in the scrapbook section. Brilliant! :-)

I’m totally in love with this glittered pumpkin idea from Martha Stewart!

Can you tell I like decoupage? :-) Learn how to decoupage ribbon onto a pumpkin at the Ribbonwood Cottage blog!

I love this polka dot look by Better Homes and Gardens! Just use an apple-corer on different gourds and pumpkins and change them around! Easy and fun. :-)

Do you decorate pumpkins for Autumn or Halloween?
Creative Mamas (or anyone!), leave a link to your creative post in MckLinky here! Share your creative brilliance with all of us – we can all use inspiration. :-) You don’t have to be a mama and you can add your link any time this week!
Or leave a comment telling me what creative brilliance you’ve been up to lately!
Or both. :-)

Thank you sooo much for sharing this post! :-)

I LOVE the decoupage ideas! I will be trying them! Thanks for the post!
I don't usually decorate pumpkins, but the Poe pumpkin is great looking.
I followed you here from mom dot because I love this idea and wow! I hate when you cut pumpkins and they get all gooey and gross – I have this dislike of pumpkin anyway but I like them for decorating – but this idea is fabulous and Im so glad I stopped by! I have a thing for mod podge too!

Great ideas! I was looking for something to do with my kiddo instead of carving. Thanks!
LOVE it! Those are some cool looking pumpkins!
Didn’t know you could use rub on!
Thanks!
