MotherGooseMouse is having a great giveaway for a Wii and Wii Fit! How did she know I was hoping hoping hoping for one for Christmas? :-) Really, I’m very excited about this!

Part of the entry process is answering the following questions:

Which Wii Fit activities sound fun to you? How will a Wii Fit get you up off the sofa in a way that your gym membership or your aging treadmill haven’t? Or if you’re already quite active, how will a Wii Fit complement your routine?

Seven months ago I had my first baby girl, and boy did I gain some weight with her! It’s strange, at first the weight seemed to fall right off – now I know that’s because I wasn’t eating (oh, so that’s why I was feeling faint!) enough. I would keep forgetting until late at night. Now that Emma is getting a little more independent and is able to sit in her walker for awhile, happily munching (well, slobbering and gumming) on a cracker I’ve found more time to eat.

And, since I live in an apartment, it gets dark early, and it’s so horribly cold outside (and now it’s supposed to snow), I’ve managed to skip out on the exercising, too. I’m starting to feel uncomfortable again, and pregnancy is not an excuse this time! Even if I weren’t a bit overweight (which I am), it would be so nice to be able to work on my balance and practice the yoga skills – something that totally intrigues and excites me! Really, everything about this program impresses me – the fact that it keeps track, keeps you accountable, and even has games so that it stays fresh and fun – I know I would LOVE this!

Plus, I can just see my husband – and daughter, as she grows up – joining me. :-) How fun would that be?

I’m hoping to get one of these soon whether I win or not – it’s just amazing! And I KNOW I would adore it. :-)

To make sure I answered the above questions:

Which Wii Fit activities sound fun to you?

The hula hoop and yoga poses, and the fact that you can jog indoors!

How will a Wii Fit get you up off the sofa in a way that your gym membership or your aging treadmill haven’t?

Well, I never could convince my husband to get me a treadmill, and now I’m kind of glad. And we live in an apartment complex that has a little gym, but I’m always too afraid to go there by myself, lol. Plus, what would I do with my daughter? The Wii Fit is 100 times better! I love that you can see your little “mii” there while you’re jogging – it lends interest to the whole activity, I know I would be able to keep it up. It’s more like a game!

Or if you’re already quite active, how will a Wii Fit complement your routine?

I’m not active. Unfortunately. This would definitely get me going and get me into a routine!

I’ve been pretty depressed about myself the last couple months and this has brought a new excitement and … GOALS to my life! I am determined to do this and have fun doing it! :-)

One Response to Getting Fit – What the Wii Fit Means to Mii

  • First and foremost…I really hope you win the Wii. I have been kind of praying for one myself. I am going to settle for a gym membership though. I just don't think it is in the budget for now. :) Good luck, girl!

PS>>>I am glad you have found a new excitement with this goal!
