Giveaway: Classic Christmas DVD Prize Pack (Twas the Night Before Christmas, Frosty, Rudolph, & More!)

One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is watch special Christmas movies. You know, the ones that get put away with your holiday decorations and are only pulled out again after a year has gone by? Each year we add a couple more to our collection, and this year there are many to choose from! Today I want to focus on some of the classics:

Twas the Night Before Christmas (Remastered Deluxe Edition)
Available on DVD & Blu-Ray
Buy it on Amazon.com!

For some unexplained reason, letters to Santa Claus are being returned to the children of Junctionville. It seems some resident has angered St. Nick, calling Christmas a fraudulent myth! Skeptical Albert Mouse has to be brought to his senses and let up a little on the wonder why. How Albert is persuaded to change his tune paves the way for Santas jolly return to town and the joyous finale of the animated fable inspired by Clement Moores poem and produced by the merrymaking conjurers of Rankin/Bass Studios.

This favorite classic was still only on VHS until last year, and now its available on blu-ray and DVD! I hadnt seen this one in so long, and loved revisiting the characters. The special features include an animated comic book that features traditions around the world at Christmastime.

Frostys Winter Wonderland (Remastered Deluxe Edition)
Available on DVD
Buy it at Amazon.com.

From popular song to animated holiday classic, Frostys Winter Wonderland Deluxe Edition tells the story of the beloved snowman and how he meets his companion, Crystal. The Snowman returns to the children of a small town for a winter season of fun and games. But hes lonely at night when left by himself and so the towns children build a beautiful snowlady companion for him. Jealous of the attention given to Frosty, Jack Frost blows up a blizzard and swipes Frostys magical, life-giving hat. Only true love can bring Frosty back to his old, fun-loving self.

This is the sequel to Frosty the Snowman, and a charming one it is! Poor Frosty doesnt have a companion to keep him company when his friends are warming their toes by their fires inside in the evenings, so the children build him a Mrs. Frosty. Heres my favorite part of their conversation:

Frosty the Snowman: A wife? Whats a wife?
Child: Someone you think is very beautiful, and who thinks youre very handsome, and who will love you back when you love her.
Frosty: Wow, what an invention!

Talk about simple and sweet! Other highlights of this movie: It features the voices of Andy Griffith and Shelley Winters, and the popular songs, Frosty the Snowman and Winter Wonderland are sung. The bonus features include a featurette: Frosty and the Story of the Snowman.
