Guy Fieri, popular Food Network star and culinary whiz, has released a new cookbook – Guy Fieri Food.  This is a gorgeous large hardcover cookbook with full-color photographs of the dishes and more than 150 recipes!  It really is PACKED with information for both the novice chef and fans of Guy who want to learn a little more about him.

I love it when reviewers give us a peek inside of cookbooks so I’m going to do it for you.

First, the index.  The cookbook is divided by food type.

Next is a fun behind-the-scenes type look at Guy Fieri’s Food Network shows.

“Top 10 Rules for Cooking With Guy”

Then, of course, what every chef should have in his/her pantry and refrigerator.  Seriously, this part overwhelmed me big-time.  LOL  Look, he even has notes and photos!  Talk about a die-hard chef…

Before each recipe section you’ll find tips on how to cook with that particular type of food.  Who knew there were so many rules for cooking with pasta?

These photos are AWESOME and so helpful for a novice like me.

An example of one of the recipes.  I haven’t tried it yet but I heard it’s “to die for”!  Doesn’t that look delicious?

This cookbook is most definitely worth having on your shelf.  The recipes are a bit beyond the norm which makes it a great gift idea for a guy (okay, or a gal) who likes to try new things.  There are some exciting twists on old favorites like:

Tequila Turkey Fettuccine
Double-Fried French Fries
Pepperoni-Studded Lasagna
Sloppy Joes with Mani Onion Straws
Pepper Jack Pretzels (Soft)
Irish Dream Cheesecake

Yum!  I’ll be trying some of these in the near future for sure.  I’ll come back and update this post as I do.  :)

You can buy Guy Fieri Food at  It retails for $29.99 but at the time of this post is on sale for $17.04!

  • My husband would love this cookbook- even though he’s not really a cookbook kinda guy. He can throw anything together and make it taste fabulous!

    • I’m jealous! lol My husband cooks… ramen noodles. ;-) He is great at barbecuing though. :)

It would be a terrific gift, for sure! I’m thinking about getting my dad a copy for Father’s Day – he would love it!
