If you haven’t seen Downton Abbey yet…

You HAVE to head over to the Masterpiece website and watch this the entire first season of this miniseries is available to watch for free right now! You have until February 22nd to watch it, but I would get started now. It is SO good. You can also get it on Netflix or buy it on amazon.com for only $16.99! I found it at Costco for $14.99 so if you have one near you its the best price Ive seen. 🙂

Okay, I have to share some images because I really need to convince you its AWESOME and you should go watch it. 🙂

These are the three sisters. I love Sybil (left), shes so cool! Modern and interested in womens rights but not overly so. I mean, shes not ready to go chain herself to some building thankfully. But shes really sweet and a great character. Edith (right) and Mary (middle) are forever at odds, to the point of me gasping at what they do to each other. But you cant help but be intensely interested in their plights and you can hardly blame them. If I had had as much pressure to find a husband as they have Id probably be a little nuts, too.

This is their mother. Shes so kind and diplomatic with everyone. Except for the whole You must marry soon thing shes doing to her daughters shes awesome.

This is a closeup of Mary, who is the eldest and has the most pressure to marry well or marry someone (for reasons you will have to watch the movie to find out about). She has the most gorgeous dresses in this movie!

My favorite scene with Sybil. Her modern outfit which is truly breathtaking both because of its beauty and because it is a split skirt! *GASP*

Their grandmother, a very popular actress and boy is she a formidable character! Certainly not afraid to speak her mind.

Yep, theres no shortage of drama going on downstairs, either! Both sweet and devious characters, and, of course, love is blooming

My favorite characters, Anna and Bates I wont say anything about them but Im sure youll love them as much as I do!

Have I convinced you yet? As a last attempt, heres a preview video

Have you seen it yet? What did you think?
