Creative Moms Show ‘N Tell Linky {Ikea Toy Box Makeover!}
Crafts & Tutorials, Fun Stuff — By Lindsey on June 4, 2010 at 12:00 amWelcome to Creative Moms Show ‘N Tell!
I’m showing off something simple today. I bought this terrific little toy chest from Ikea for only $15.00:
Ain’t it beautiful? I think the price might have something to do with how beautiful I think it is… ;-)
Anyway, since this was going to be my daughter’s toy box, I decided to let her do some decorating. Actually, I initially wanted to be meticulous and get it just the way I wanted, but I was impatient and began decorating it in front of her – and of course she had to be a part of that. Then, I have to admit, it became really fun. Because she looooved it!
So anyway, I had a set of decorative alphabet wall stickers I had been carrying around with me from the dollar store. Perfect!
And that is our genius creation, made all for under $17. ;-)
Now it’s time to…

What an adorable idea and affordable for any budget. We bought beds from Ikea a few months ago for our girls and our “dressing” them up now! With a little creativity, you can really create a custom piece with Ikea items!
So true! The nice thing about these stickers is that I can take them off (or wait until my two-year-old pulls them off, lol) and paint it or decoupage it later. :) If you write a post showin’ off your bed makeover later, I would love to see it! And feel free to link it up here. :)
It’s cute and I love the price! Your daughter will remember being creative with you, that is a treasure all in itself!

I never waited. I’m not very good at secrets LOL!
