The velcro closure is very secure, and they stay on my daughters feet without a problem.

Materials & Design

Im impressed by the quality of these shoes. Theyre handmade with high-quality leather (I love the smell of leather!) and the stitching is very nicely done. The Russian dolls embroidered on the front of these shoes are just adorable very unique. These shoes have drawn a lot of compliments!

Comfort, Traction, & Ankle/Foot Support

The Anya shoes are a definite favorite now Emma walks and runs easily in them and they are SO cute! The soft leather molds easily to her feet and the inside of the shoes are well-cushioned. They have held up very well over the month and a half weve had them. I can see that Ill be able to keep them and use them again when I have another child, or pass them on. Theyre that well-made! Ive had shoes before that had to be thrown away after Emma was done with them its nice to have some shoes that will get extra use! As for traction and ankle support, they have rubber soles so are non-slip, and they do have a fair amount of ankle support as well. Theyre super comfortable, I can tell. 🙂

Would I Purchase?

Yes, Livie and Luca is a brand I am happy to support as a mom. And I recommend buying the shoe that catches your eye when you get the chance because theyre essentially all limited editions. The Anya shoe is already out of stock, and I would be disappointed if there werent so many other cute shoes to pick from! This is not a big box shoe company and every pair of shoes is handmade using the remains of high-quality leather that would otherwise be discarded so very eco-friendly, but they do only make a certain amount of each shoe design depending on the leather availability.
