Your kids can spend Halloween with Madeline this year thanks to this new release, Madeline’s Halloween and Other Spooky Tales!
Inspired by Ludwig Bemelmans best-selling children’s books, Madeline’s Halloween & Other Spooky Tales follows the creepy-crawly adventures of lovable little Madeline, her dog Genevieve, 11 amazing classmates and troublesome next-door neighbor Pepito! Sit back, gasp and laugh as Madeline and her friends encounter a spooky haunted castle, a real mummy, a crazy Halloween night in New York City and more!
This DVD features five fun adventures including:
– Madeline’s Halloween
– Madeline and the Mean, Nasty, Horrible Hats
– Madeline and the Mummy
– Madeline and the Haunted Castle
– Madeline and the Spider Lady
Each episode is totally appropriate for the month of October and Halloween night, filled with mummies, trick-or-treating, and other typical “American” Halloween silliness. I loved that they got to travel to America to learn about Halloween, and they travel to Egypt to learn about mummies. While your older children will probably want something a little more scary, this will be a treat (not a trick) for the smaller ones in your house. But don’t worry, it’s scary enough to satisfy everyone! And, as always, the confident Madeline is there to save the day.
As with all of the Madeline cartoons I’ve seen, I’m as delighted as any child with this charming little girl with a French accent. Heartwarming as always, but these adventures are fun and scary! I recommend it for anyone who still loves cartoons, whether a child or an adult.
