Masterpiece Classics: Emma *I can’t wait!*
Fun Stuff — By Lindsey on January 22, 2010 at 9:15 pmI am SO excited about the Masterpiece Classics version of Emma airing on PBS January 24 – February 7!
They say it’s going to be “fiercely funny” – I’m so excited! I’m a lover of all things Austen, especially the wonderful movies that come out. My favorite version of Emma is the one with Gwyneth Paltrow in it (probably her best role ever). This one looks like it’ll give that version a run for it’s money, though. :-)
Watch the Trailer:
Doesn’t it look great?
If you miss the airing on TV, don’t cry, scream and gnash your teeth (as I would) – it’ll be available to watch online here on January 25th! Ah, they really love us, don’t they? *happy sigh*
That’s not all! There’s going to be an Emma Twitter party on Sunday the 24th during the premiere of episode 1 at 9-11 p.m. Eastern! Get more information at the Emma Twitter Party Page (hashtags, people to follow, etc).
This is going to be awesome! Will you be watching?

I’m excited to watch too. I loved the Gweyneth Paltrow version and this one looks good (Jonny Lee Miller is so hot!).
So is this where your daughter’s name comes from? :)

I must confess, I wanted her to have a Jane Austen name. :-)
Oh, thanks for letting me know! I want to watch!
AND a Twitter party?! Nice!
I Emma! The movie not the book. I tried to read that book so many times but gave up. I really like Jane Austen too. But I just adore this story in movie version.
I love Jane Austen! I’ll definitely be watching :o) And there’s no shame in naming you child after one of her characters… If I ever have a daughter, she’ll be Elizabeth, AKA Lizzy lol

LOL I do have a daughter named Elizabeth, but we call her Liza.
