I’m in full nesting mode right now, getting ready for this baby.  I decided to go with a Dinosaur theme in our nursery and fell in LOVE with this fabric from Fabric.com!  Thanks to my friend Margaret I was able to get it at a discount and with free shipping using a coupon.  Such a blessing!  This is the cutest dino fabric I’ve come across so far, too, so I was really pleased at the find.

This is all cotton except for the white with colored dots – that one is flannel.

I have a list of projects I want to complete before the baby comes, and had originally hoped to find a crib set with dinosaurs that I liked but so far I can’t afford anything I like and I don’t like anything so much I want to spend a ton of money on it.  Plus, this will probably be our last baby – I don’t want to spend a fortune on something I’m going to end up giving away after a year or two.  BUT I do want something quality, so I decided to go with a plain crib set that I can add dinosaur accents to.  I’ll probably go with a pastel green and make blankets and dinosaur-shaped stuffies for him.  I might even be able to applique dinosaur shapes on crib set, it’ll just depend on the material.

Here are some of the projects I intend on making with these fabrics:

I also want to make blankets, a crinkle toy/lovey, and burp cloths… maybe I should have ordered more fabric!  lol

  • What adorable fabric! I love it!!

You are so talented, my dear. I wish I had sewing ability, but God gave me computer skills rather than hands-on skills. :)

Can’t wait to see all your finished projects. Can I hire you to do some of mine?

    • I recently started teaching myself… so far I’ve only done super easy projects like burp cloths, blankets, bibs, etc – you could do it, too! There are so many step-by-step tutorials online. And even YouTube videos. :)

Seriously, I’ve been wondering who I can hire to do these projects for me, too – I’m SO tired I don’t know where I’m going to get the energy! I’m going to have to just ignore that immense pile of laundry I guess, let everyone go hungry, and say, “I’m SEWING today – that’s all.”

Oh, and ignore my computer which has an invisible pull for me, hahaha

  • Now I know I have alerts set to tell me when I’m mentioned, but I didn’t see this until I read your post! Thanks for the mention and I’m so glad you found the fabric. :)
