New Method Antibac Cleaners Review

Have you ever tried the Method line of green cleaners? I bought one of their non-toxic all-purpose cleaners (pink grapefruit scent) a few months ago because I really liked the price and I was very happy with it! Well, now Method has a new line of cleaners that are antibacterial called Method Antibac awesome, right? Especially since flu season is upon us. These botanical cleaners are different in that they kill 99.99% of household bacteria including E.coli, salmonella, influenza A, and the H1N1 virus without using bleach and triclosan. I hate bleach, so this is a huge plus for me. The price is great, too, at $3.99! As a member of the Green and Clean Mom Method Antibac Blog Tour, I received three Antibac products from Method to try out: Spearmint Antibacterial Bathroom Cleaner, Lemon Verbena Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner, and Lemon Verbena All-Purpose Cleaning and Disinfecting Wipes. I love the…

Little Scholastic Board Books Review

I have a blast collecting board books for my toddler. There are so many great books teaching and reinforcing shapes, colors, letters, animals, and numbers! When I was a little girl, I loved touch-and-feel books, and so Ive made sure Emma has quite a few of those to pick from. I know how much it means to a child to be able to see and touch as they learn. One of my favorite publishers of educational board books is Little Scholastic. I received two books to review from them and they are most definitely the best we have right now. Theyre bold, colorful, detailed, and the touch-and-feel parts are well-done. The books are hardy and have held up well to my daughters rough treatment (though at 2 1/2 shes getting better she used to eat them!). Keep reading to find out more about these two books Little Scholastic Shapes is…

Christmas Ornaments I Plan to MAKE this Year :)

Growing up, decorating the Christmas tree was made extra special because I had handmade ornaments by my grandma, myself and my sister, my mom, and various other family members. I dont know what it is exactly, but Ill always feel that handmade is more meaningful! I could have a tree full of expensive glass ornaments and it just wouldnt be the same. Not as fun or as personal. Unfortunately I dont have the same ornaments I had growing up, but I plan to start making special keepsake ornaments this Christmas! And I have my mom working on some to send us, too. 🙂 Here are some of the tutorials Ill be following: Yarn Doll Ornaments Tutorial here at Spud and Chloe (And another good tutorial showing how to use cardboard to make them at Wiki How) Felt Christmas PuddingsTutorial here at Bugs and Fishes Acorn Mushroom OrnamentTutorial by Lil Fish…

Clinton St. Baking Company Cookbook {Review & Bonus Mom-Tested Recipe!}

As a mom who has come to find out through experience that she really needs help in the kitchen, this cookbook is heaven. To her husband who loves breakfast food and her 2 1/2-year-old ever-munching daughter, its beyond a blessing. 😉 My cookbook stash is really too low. I dont even have a basic Betty Crocker cookbook, how sad is that? And Im not really the best at picking out new cookbooks to add to my shelf or I wasnt until the Clinton St. Baking Company Cookbook set the bar high for me. This very nice, hardcover book with glossy pages is full of everyday breakfast, brunch, and anytime recipes basics like biscuits, buttermilk fried chicken, and split pea soup, and specialty dishes like baked truffled grits or coconut lemon curd cake. All of the recipes are for the kind of foods that cause you head out to a nice…

Can’t Take Your Eyes Off ‘Em For a Minute… (WW)

First, I came outside to warmer weather than I had expected (its been crazy lately) and oh my word, WHO forgot to put the lid on the turtle sandbox????? Oh, it was me. Oops. Then I proceeded to turn the camera on myself to try to get a decent picture of myself in the lovely crochet scarflet my sister made me (and she will be selling these in her Etsy shop if youre interested convo her if you want one). I turn around and yes, she standing in the sandbox/swimming pool with her boots on. Now a few minutes before she had asked to have her coat taken off and threw that hat off, too. She asked about her boots, too, but I said no way. Well, okay mom. Never a dull moment.
