Piggy Paint Safe Nail Polish Review and Giveaway {Closed}

Ive been intrigued with the prospect of safe, fume-free nail polish ever since my daughter was born. Oh, I had heard about it before, but until my little girl was born I didnt really care so much as long as it was just me breathing the stuff in. After all, Id been using regular nail polish since I was a kid, a little bit more wasnt going to kill me, right? (We hope, haha.) But when my daughter was born, I really started noticing how strong the regular stuff was and my pregnancy had enhanced my sense of smell in a weird way (am I the only one who was suddenly more sensitive to smells and tastes during/after pregnancy?). Anyway, so when the opportunity to review Piggy Paint came up, I jumped at it thankfully!

About Piggy Paint Founder Melanie Hurley:

Dont you love mom-owned and -inspired businesses? I certainly do! Melanie shares a turning point experience that pushed her to create a new, safer nail polish: She watched her kids regular solvent-based nail polish tip over and eat a hole through a foam plate! See photo:

And I thought it was just the chemical smell that was awful! It was just too much for Melanie when she thought of her kids putting that stuff in their mouth, and Im so glad.

Piggy Paint Features:

  • Non-toxic
  • Odorless
  • Water-based formula
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Fun, vibrant colors
  • Dries to a hard, durable finish

My Thoughts:
I wasnt sure about how this review would go when I received Dandelion Dance I dont usually go for yellows when shopping for anything for myself. But I was surprised at how springy and happy the color made me when I put it on my nails! I tried to get my one-year-old to sit still long enough to paint her toenails but Im going to have to try later like when shes asleep. 😉 Anyway, like it says there is NO scent, and it dries super fast which is awesome for impatient people like me oh, and kids. Not only that, but I only needed one coat to get the desired effect!

As for the nail polish remover, it too is scent-free. It only takes a moment to take the nail polish off with the scent-free remover! Now my question: Why isnt all nail polish made like this?

Im thrilled with Piggy Paint and intend on making an order for some pinks, blues, and greens as soon as possible! We give this product two pretty painted thumbs up! 🙂
