I am sooo excited about this – The Magic School Bus: The Complete Series will be available to purchase on DVD September 7, 2012! This terrific series is AWESOME to have on hand both for entertainment and educational purposes. I personally am using it to supplement my daughter’s preschool curriculum and she loves it! She’s only 4 1/2 and can understand it all so this is a series that is great for all ages.

This is a great homeschooling science resource. One of the ways it can be used is to watch an episode a week (or every other day) and assign related science activities. For instance, Emma and I have watched the episode “Hops Home” about Bella the frog, then continued to learn about frogs in school for the rest of the week. We went to the pet store to look at the frogs, did some frog-related crafts, studied frog facts, and she played a game on her MobiGo that showed how a frog grows from a minnow to a full-grown frog by swimming along and eating, navigating around dangers like snakes and large fish.
We love this series and give it two thumbs up! I recommend it and think it’s a wonderful gift idea for kids 4 and up.

I loved the light/rainbow episode when i was a kid. And (nerdy moment) I still remember the Molecule song they sung. I hope my daughter will love these shows and learn all kinds of things too.

The human body!
I’m excited about my kids learning about the solar system.
I am most looking forward to all of the episodes on plants and photosynthesis. My son is a big nature buff and I know he would love those shows!

I remember watching this as a child in school and being in awe of all of their cool science experiments and their crazy adventures with Mrs Frizzle! I would love to my children to be able to experience this same excitement one day!
