Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, and all of our favorite Toy Story characters are back in Disney Pixar‘s Toy Story 3!  I watched this on DVD for the first time about a week ago and I LOVED it!  It had me laughing and even tearing up in some parts – I attributed the fact that I was near to tears to pregnancy but heard of other moms feeling the same way, so maybe I can’t blame my hormones.  ;-)

About the Movie

As Andy gets ready to leave for college, Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the gang wonder if this is the end of the line. But, when a mix up lands them in the Sunnyside Day Care Center where they meet 14 new toys, they soon discover that a wild new adventure is just beginning! Take an amazing journey with some of the most beloved characters in movie history and discover what being a friend is truly all about.

I must be a true mom to feel sad that Andy is “grown up” (well, almost 18) in this movie.  But it’s really a great feel-good movie and a good reminder to donate toys when our children have outgrown them.  Maybe not to the daycare center with uncontrollable, toy-destroying children, though.  ;-)

The Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy Special Edition

The Toy Story 3 DVD/Blu-Ray Combo has a LOT of special features – and hey, it has FOUR discs!  It includes a DVD copy, Blu-Ray copy, and even digital copy of the film that you can put on your portable devices.  It also includes:

  • Day and Night – Theatrical Short
  • Buzz Lightyear Mission Logs
  • Toy Story Trivia Interactive Game
  • 3 Studio Stories
  • The Gang’s All Here – A Look at Returning Voice Talent
  • Beginnings: Setting a Story in Motion
  • and MUCH more!

I can’t say much about the movie without giving stuff away.  But I can say that it is just as good as the previous two movies!  My husband, myself, and my toddler were all riveted for the entire film, we loved it!

This is one of my favorite scenes…  There are a couple little “romance” scenes that made me laugh, and this is one of them.  And I’m not talking about Barbie and Ken (yes, I’m rolling my eyes).

If you haven’t seen this newest Toy Story movie, you should at least rent it!  It was really cute, definitely worth seeing.  And worth owning, in my opinion.  :)

  • This was a great movie. We went to go see it in the theathers adn the kids loved it. We bought The Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy Special Edition while shopping at Target yesterday as a Christmas gift for the kids.

  • We got this too and it is Evan’s new favorite!

  • I LOVED this movie, it was the best one of all I think.

  • If you can believe it, we haven’t seen this one yet. My two preschooler love everything Toy Story except the sad parts of the movies. I think I might get this one though and fast-forward through anything that might make them tear up because they want to see it so bad. Very cool that it comes in all of those forms!

  • I heard stories of adults who were straight-up BAWLING in the theater, so it sounds like it was a tear-jerker alright! Can you believe that I have never seen the Toy Story movies? Yeah, I’m just a tad bit behind the curve! LOL!!!

  • Awesome! We have a blu-ray player now, so this is great.

  • Toy Story 3 was my daughter’s first movie in the theater. She loved it! And yes, I teared up during the last scene.
